1. for the horny toad make a long cast and work it back like a buzzbait (reel just fast enough to keep it on the surface and keep the legs kicking).
2. for the craw bug texas rig it and put a slip sinker on it. then cast it out, let it sink to the bottom and hop it slowly back in.
3. if there is a sharp hook on it punch it through the basses lip. if there is a duller hook on it put it under the basses gill plate(make sure it dosent hurt the gills).
