Anyone know about the green puffer fish?

I have 3 of them in a 10 gallon tank. They seem to love bloodworms and ghost shrimp. But I see 3 light pink sac type on the bottom of the tank. Are they eggs? and how can you tell if they are male or female?
I bought them in a tank smaller then the one i own. also they seem well and are not aggresive to each other at all. Also Sherri it’s research. not reasearch.

Three green spotted puffers in a 10 gallon tank is entirely inappropriate. Hopefully, you mean dwarf puffers!! If you have green spotted puffers get those fish into a 55 gallon tank or larger. If one of your fish is “protecting” the pinkish sacs, that would be a male. I am more inclined to believe that the “sacs” are decaying food covered in fungus. GSPs tend to be difficult to breed and 3 in a 10 gallon tank will not breed.
—————————————————————-
Never assume that the tank size in a pet/fish shop represents the appropriate tank size for keeping fish after purchase!! Pet shops “turn over” inventory frequently either by selling the fish and/or by the fish dying. Also, puffers ARE territorial fish and require large tanks. Water quality can impact a fish’s temperment. If your fish are suffering from the effects of ammonia, nitrite and/or nitrAte toxicity, they will become lethargic, listless and/or lose appetite thereby not displaying their natural tendencies. Three green spotted puffers in a 10 gallon tank is completely inappropriate and a certain death sentence for the fish.
