Will soap residue kill a betta fish??
My betta recently died, and my husband cleaned out her fish bowl. But, he cleaned it with dish soap. I have heard that even residue will kill a fish. I’m planning on getting a new betta soon. Is there something I can use to make sure the soap residue is gone? Will rinsing it good enough be okay? Should I just buy a new fish bowl and scrap the old one?
yes soap residue can kill a betta fish…if you are really nervous about putting a new one in it then buy a new one but if you just scrub it with water dry it and then do it a few more times it should be ok….also….BOWLS ARE FINE!!!…im sorry but if you get any response that you shouldnt have a betta in a bowl ignore it….bettas dont need heaters or filters just keep them in a stable enviornment and not in direct sunlight…good luck!!
