If there was a great flood (like the one in the bible) wouldn’t that kill fresh water fish?
Its something I was wondering about, maybe a someone with some knowledge in the scientific stuff can answer.
well, it would, if it had actually happened =). the sea level has risen many times, but not necessarily at the will of god. And it happened very gradually. and there were also mass extinctions that killled up to 85% of like on earth. but that was a long long time ago.
there was no noah’s flood. It was proven by a preist (ironically), sedgewick in 1826. He spent his life looking for proof that it existed, and on the day of his retirement concluded that it didn’t happen. poor guy. the reason was something about there not being enough debris anywhere to support the theory of a flood of that scale at any time, and the fact that there was no evidene of the ‘sinners’ who were supposedly drowned, of their habitation.
