Need some help on fishing?

I am going fishing in 2 weeks and i need firstly:

What might i need for a fishing kit? (hooks, bait)
How do i attach the hook and the Floaters or sinkers?
What other advice might i need?
Would Bread, and Sausages cut up etc. work as bait?

Attaching Websites will help thanks!

I am under 16 so i won’t need a License and i am in Australia so Walmart won’t help me :P

Please, go to the library and check out a fishing book (hopefully one that can give advice on fishing the waters of Australia)
You don’t mention what kind of fish you are going to try and catch. You don’t tell us what rod and reel set-up you own. You didn’t say fresh or salt water. And as far as tying knots and making leaders go it’s all on line, but the effort of becoming a good fisherman (or a good man for that sake) doesn’t come from being lazy and asking for it to be given to you, it comes from putting forth an effort an investment if you will an investment that returns interest, like getting back all and more that only you can put into it.
