Do you think God plays a part in evolution?
How did the first cell arise? How did the first bird have wings if it didnt fly? wouldnt we find evidence of lots of flightless birds in the fossil record, the only flightless birds we know came from ancestors that could fly. And what about collapsed gill arches becomeing the first jaw, where there flappy fish around as intermediates, that couldn’t use their flap?We have evidence that animals change over time, but how does a gill arch turn into a jaw or a leg into a wing?
how was the first cell created, if you beleave only in evolution. Cells need many proteins to make proteins and other proteins to shape thos proteins and proteins to activate proteins, if the first cell was just membrane, a lil rna/dna, and a few amino acids, how could the many intricate biological processes happen without enzymes?
God. (cheating) This explanation is what everyone eventually resorts to when the other answers fail. Now, before I go any further, I should make clear that I’m not talking about any of the gods defined in various religions. Throughout all of human history, we’ve been trying to explain existence. But nobody has ever succeeded. And it’s likely that nobody ever will. So we create the concept of God, whose only necessary property is being “that which explains existence.”
This doesn’t tell us much about god, though. It doesn’t mean that any particular religion is correct. It merely defines god as something which answers The Question, because we have not been able to.
