How can I make my Anchor safe for my aquarium?
I have an anchor that was used on a boat before and it hasn’t been used in years and its kind of dirty and a little rusty and I wanted to put it in my 30 gallon aquarium, but I don’t know how to clean it properly so I don’t harm the fish by using any bad chemicals. Please help.
To put it succinctly, don’t put it in your aquarium. Certain metals are toxic to fish and if the anchor is made of iron then it will rust if kept submerged. The use of chemicals may leave a residue on the metal which could quite easily harm your fish.
Instead take a look around in your local aquatic/pet stores for some fish-safe decor.
