I have 15 tanks in a small room, is there a way to connect them all to 1 air pump?
I am hoping there is a cheaper and less confusing way to get my 15 fish tanks air. I am hoping to do away with each tank having its own air pump. There is just too many air tubes and etectricity plugs being used this way. What about a filtration system that is all connected to each other. or a heating system better than 15 heaters being plugged in at once? How does it work and how can I set it up?
Of course you can. You can connect your tanks with one (strong) air pump. A main tube goes over all the tanks, a t- piece above each tank, and a tube down…that’s it..
About your heater and filter. Again you can use one filter and one heater.
But…there is one big problem that might occur. If one fish gets a disease, all fish might catch the disease too.
You have to make an overflow system in your tanks, the (dirty) water flows down to a big tank on the floor. In the tank there is a filter and the heater…a pump, pumps the water back to the tanks. You need a pipe that goes over all the tanks…above each tank there is a nozzle or a hole, so the (clean, warm) water can go to the fish tanks.
Make sure that the pump and heater are related to the sizes of all the tanks together. It is also easier to change water by taking out water from that bottom tank, or to add medicine etc…
You need to provide more information about size of the tanks and their contents…
