How do I book a trip on a king crab fishing boat?
I want to arrange a voyage on a king crab fishing boat for 2-4 people.
There are some deep water King Crab expeditions out of Alaska, but this time of the year they would be all booked. People book these trips a year in advance. I would check for trips out of Seward, Alaska for boats that would book for next year. I’ve seen these trips while up there doing deep water Halibut and Ling Cod fishing trips. They are not cheap trips! Expect to spend $2500 per person for the trip with travel and the boat ride. For doing crab, I’d not recommend it since you can get crab for a fraction of the price in the local markets. But if you book for Halibut and Lings, then it could be a worthwhile excursion.
