What fishing pole does it all?
I’m looking for a good fishing rod for all types of fishing. For spoonbill, bass, catfish, bream, etc. Also, what reel should I use?
Yes, I am a NEWBIE.
Obviously your a NEWBIE to fishing. There’s no single fishing rod for all fishing conditions. Your not likely to be successful landing a 60 lb Catfish on a Crappie rod. While there are plenty of multipurpose rods, their usually Wal-Mart specials and are junk for people that haven’t a clue on fishing. Rods are tailored to types of species, line weight, reels, lures or bait, arc, and several other factors. I own over 80 rods to date. I fish all over the world and competitively. Of course I can cut down my herd of rods and reels, but why?
For the newbie, go to Wal-Mart and get yourself and Ugly Stik and a Spinning reel. Be sure to get a salesperson so that you get the right spinning rod for the reel, there’s a difference.
