wear to find an inexpensive pier fishing cart?

I want to get my dad a pier fishing cart for fathers day, something that can hold 6 rods, a cooler, tackle box, bait bucket, and some other supplies…. I can’t spend more than $100, any suggestions?

Surge-

Fisher was on the right track;something collapsible is good.

When it comes to pier carts, they seem to fall into two categories, home- made and store -bought.

The home-madejobs are just that, with parts from hardware stores, back yards and soviet era space junk that fell to earth. They’re non collapsible (at least not on purpose) and quite often are schlepped from the owners place of residence.some are big enough to be a place of residence.

The smart money drives to the pier, so things have to be broke down every time. These rigs are usually a cart, with the rectangular cooler on the bottom, a tackle box and milk crate stacked on top, in that order. tubes can be added simply by cutting pvc and hose clamps. either attach to cart or crate. some people call these rocket launchers.

The placement and fabrication of the rocket launchers make or break the cart.

The bottoms should NOT have a cap to keep the rod from falling through, use a single nut and bolt on the end of the tube. The butt end of the rod (make sure the tube is big enough for what ever the intended use is) rests against the bolt.

The next thing is that attaching rocket launchers directly to your cart almost never works, the rods, nets etc. end up waving around in your face when transporting. Putting them on the far side of the crate presents its own problems too.

Anyways, give it some thought, you can probably make a pretty nifty basic set-up in a few hours, keeping these things in mind
