can i put 30 pound braid on a reel rated for 6lb mono?
i just bought some spro frogs from BPS and read that braid is best with them especially in lily pads like im gonna be fishing in. i know 6 pound mono is about 20lb braid but is 20 pound braid going to be enough to get the big boys out of the super heavy cover?
i guess my question is A) is it bad to put 30 lb braid (diameter or 8lb mono) on a reel rated for up to 6lb line? and B) is 30lb braid going to be enough for fishing in heavy cover? I looked at some youtube vids and it seems all of them are using 50-65lb braid for the frogs in lily pads.
Please answer. thanks!!!
also what color braid do you prefer? the water i fish is pretty clear (5-10 feet visibility)
yeah I got a Galyan’s IM8 medium/heavy that im gonna use
yes it be fine and i would use green power pro it works great for me. so just give it a try it will work and good luck.
