I love to fish, I live in west central georgia, what is the best way to catch bass if you are bank fishing?

Best time to go, what bait, anything helpful.

pond fish are sideline oriented mostly because they need fall in food to sustain life. Usually there isn’t much minnows or shad (if any) so lizards, frogs and crawdads work pretty well. Most important, never walk up to the waters edge as any movement either above the waterline (in the fishes peripheral) or any shadow will scare the shallow feeding fish out into deeper water. So! Begin fishing the sideline from 15 – 20 feet back and just cast into the shallows. after you catch one you’ll have to move up to the water line to release it, so stay low and close to the ground or move to a new location. You can walk around most ponds and fish twenty feet in front of where you stand keeping the area ahead producing fish without scaring the feeding fish ahead of you. I love fishing predawn till 8:00 am and dusk till after dark the best. But if you can fish all day I would be off points, steep drop offs and in deeper water fishing cranks then worms or throwing a lizard onto steep sun drenched cliffs allowing the bait to fall in the water as if the lizard lost it’s footing and fell in.
