Does anyone know of fantastic places to stay for fishing in Alaska?
I am planing on traveling to Alaska next year with me and my Father, he isn’t getting any older. He still walks the rivers, and has all the enthuciasms, i just want for him to be able to see the wonderful Alaska and it rivers with me once. Any Ideas
Boy that’s a pretty broad question what with AK., havin’ all sorts of fishin’ lodging and guides. First one that comes ta’ my mind is Yakatut (South Eastern Alaska) it is one of the best for fishin’ Salmon and Steelhead and that’d be on the Situk River. Fished it and lived there, so I have first hand knowledge ; )…
You’ll be seein’ beautiful country (whole state is that way) and it’s hike-able. For wildlife there be Brown Bear, Moose (Yakatut is known for them), Sitka Deer, along with waterfowl annnnd we cannot forget the Bald Eagles. One of these days the MS’s and I are goin’ ta’ get our tails back up there and say a’dios to the “Lower 48″. Whatever your decision on location is, I guarantee you and your Dad** will love it
