What are the best excursions to book on an Alaskan cruise tour?
Here are some more details:
-The cruise liner is Celebrity
-We leave May 29th
-We definitely want to go fishing & see some glaciers
-We don’t have kids so we don’t want to do anything kiddie
-And if anyone knows of any other must-sees in Alaska that would be great.
Have a look at cruisecritic.com, even post some questions. We got a lot of information from there before we went on a cruise to Alaska last year on the Celebrity Mercury.
I think you are going at the right time of year for the best Whale watching trips and I’m not sure about the bears, but we were too late in July, definitely something we wish we had done. We found some bear pooh on a trail we were on, never seen a bear though.
The Rocky Mountaineer (the train ride to Whistler) is a good trip but we did it as part of a 3 day cruise tour. I’m not sure you can do it as part of the cruise.
